Frequently asked questions

Straight answers before we begin.

Clear scope, clear communication and clear boundaries are part of the work, not fine print added after the sale.

What does the name Rooted Rocket mean?

Roots have two meanings. The hidden systems beneath a company can take root in ways that keep growth grounded, or they can become the stable foundation that makes sustained growth possible. Customers see the product and investors see the numbers. Rooted Rocket works on the ownership, workflows, handoffs, data, tools and decisions beneath the surface.

Do we need to choose an engagement before contacting Rooted Rocket?

No. Describe the visible problem, its business impact and the teams involved. Rooted Rocket will recommend the smallest engagement capable of producing a coherent working result.

Is Rooted Rocket a RevOps firm?

Not exactly. Rooted Rocket can rebuild revenue systems, but the work can also connect delivery, customer success, finance, product and other operating functions when the problem crosses departmental boundaries.

How is Rooted Rocket different from a fractional COO?

A fractional COO usually assumes an ongoing executive operating role. Rooted Rocket completes a bounded diagnosis, design and implementation, then transfers the working system to a named internal owner. Rooted Rocket does not become the client's permanent operating executive.

How is Rooted Rocket different from a software implementer?

A platform implementer normally begins with a selected product. Rooted Rocket begins with the business failure, defines the required workflow and controls, then configures or recommends tools only when they support that operating design.

Is Rooted Rocket an AI agency?

No. Rooted Rocket builds the system the work requires. Repeatable execution usually uses clear rules and standard automation. AI is used only for bounded interpretation when it adds value, while consequential decisions stay with named people. The operating result, not AI adoption, is the product.

Can Rooted Rocket use our existing tools?

Yes. Rooted Rocket first determines whether the current tools can support the required workflow. New software is recommended only when the existing system cannot responsibly produce the approved result.

What access is required?

Access depends on the approved scope. Rooted Rocket requests the minimum practical access to the relevant people, workflows, documentation, data and tools. Sensitive access and handling expectations are agreed before discovery begins.

How is confidential information handled?

No NDA is required for the first fit conversation, and sensitive information should not be shared there. If deeper discovery requires confidential information, Rooted Rocket can review and sign an appropriate NDA before that information is exchanged. Client information is not published without written permission.

Who performs the work?

Brad leads every engagement. Rooted Rocket adds specialized operators and technical specialists when the approved build requires them, while remaining accountable for one coherent result. The proposal defines the people, work, responsibilities, access, milestones and acceptance standard before the build begins.

What does Rooted Rocket deliver?

Deliverables depend on scope and can include evidence maps, workflow specifications, decision and ownership rules, reconciled definitions, configured systems, automation controls, test cases, training, documentation and acceptance evidence. The signed proposal defines the exact deliverables.

Who owns the system after handoff?

The client does. Rooted Rocket identifies and prepares an internal owner, documents the operating rules, tests real usage and transfers control. Any third-party software remains subject to that provider's licensing and terms.

What will Rooted Rocket not do?

Rooted Rocket does not provide fundraising, legal, tax, investment or cybersecurity advice; guarantee financial outcomes; force AI or new software into a process; provide indefinite staff augmentation; or accept an unbounded scope without a responsible acceptance standard.

What happens if the scope changes?

Additional departments, systems, deliverables, meetings or implementation requests require written approval on price and timing before they are added. Rooted Rocket does not quietly expand the scope or surprise the client with unapproved work.

Is ongoing support included?

No ongoing retainer is required. Each engagement ends with implementation, documentation, training and a defined handoff. Continued support or additional work is scoped separately.

How are payments scheduled?

The Focused Improvement Sprint is paid in full at signing. The Core Function Rebuild is paid 50% at signing, 25% after solution approval and 25% before final handoff. The Cross-Functional System Build is paid 40% at signing, 20% after solution approval, 20% at the implementation midpoint and 20% before final handoff.
